La Mesa Electrical

Replacing old outdated electrical equipment, electric circuit breakers and electric breaker panels can prevent uncalled downtime and provide sound, overall protection of your home or place of business.

In many cases, we have found that customers are not aware of the fact that several brands of electrical equipment manufactured in the U.S. have lost their U.L. approval (Underwriter Laboratories Listing) which is basically a governmental stamp of approval that a product has been tested and is safe to use in the Continental United States (note: add links)

Replacing this sub-standard electrical equipment will ensure overall protection of your electrical branch circuit wiring thus making your home or business safer. UNITED Electrical La Mesa ensures top quality products for their electrical maintenance, repairs and installations.

An electrical panel upgrade is just what it implies.... it is an upgrade of the current existing main electrical panel and electric meter service equipment. With all of the new modern appliances and electrical devices we now have in our modern homes, we find that older homes might not have sufficient electric power available to handle the increased energy demand loads that these newer modern appliances pull on the electrical wiring system, but these upgrades are necessary.... if one is to not sacrifice convenience.....

Therefore, a "service change" is required. This includes not only an upgrade of your main electrical panel. But an upgrade of your electrical meter-socket and a change of the main electrical feeder conductor wire size between the meter socket and main electric panels as well.

Electrical Panel Change Out

Performing a main electric (panel change) out or an electric service upgrade is usually required to alleviate a problem with the existing main electrical panel and electrical circuit breakers. Sometimes an electrical breaker might overheat to the point that the electric panel buss bar in an electrical panel gets burned out. The electrical conductors between the electric meter and electric panel may become loose and burn out the electric systems main lugs; this is especially common when aluminum conductors were used for the electrical feeder wiring.

When you plugged in your new refrigerator, cranked up the air conditioner, or turned on the light to read.... you probably didn't give a lot of thought to the electrical wires carrying the electricity. Few people do.... after all, your home's complex electrical wiring system is hidden in the walls from plain sight and never really thought about until a problem arises and then we become aware of just how dependent we really are on our electrical system to operate our modern electrical conveniences. Homeowners generally know so little about electricity that they tend to take potential problems too lightly or to overlook them altogether. This can cause more serious compounded problems and create a higher chance for personnel safety risks.

It is extremely important that you pay close attention to your home electrical wiring..... no matter when your home was built or what area you live in but especially if you live in an older home! According to the N.E.P.A. (National Fire Protection Association) thirty-nine thousand house fires and 350 deaths occur each year in the U.S. as a direct result of faulty home electrical wiring and other electrical equipment, such as electrical extension cords, lighting, and plugs,.
